Writers who draft in Markdown often reach a point where a plain text file will not do: a client wants a report, a student needs to hand in notes, or a team wants a changelog that reads well outside a code editor. Markdown to PDF takes that .md file and turns it into a document with real typography, ready to send or print.

Headings come out at distinct sizes, paragraphs get proper spacing, code blocks keep a shaded background, quoted text gets a side border, and tables get visible borders and even columns. Lists, links and inline formatting carry over, as do highlights, superscripts and subscripts, footnotes, alerts, coloured code and forced page breaks. Leave the options alone for one clean layout, or choose a theme, page size, orientation and margins, and add page numbers or a table of contents.

This works well for anything that started life as plain text: documentation, meeting notes, or a README you want as a finished file. Long documents with many images may take longer to process. For a document you can keep editing afterward, Markdown to Word is the better choice.
