Grayscale PDF

Convert every page of a PDF to black & white.

Convert a PDF to grayscale for printing or filing

Color print cartridges are expensive, and plenty of offices and print shops charge more for color pages or refuse them for routine paperwork. If you are sending a colorful presentation or a scanned brochure to a black and white printer, converting the PDF to grayscale first avoids muddy results and wasted ink.

Upload your file and the tool converts every page to black and white automatically, with no settings to choose. Where possible, it converts the color in place so the text stays sharp and selectable, same as before. If a page uses colors or effects that cannot be converted that way, the tool falls back to rendering that page as a flattened black and white image, and text on those pages is no longer selectable afterward. The file is processed on our servers over a secure connection and removed automatically within 60 minutes.

Grayscale PDF changes every page in the document; there is no way to leave some pages in color and convert only others.

How to use the Grayscale PDF tool
