Compress Image
Reduce image file size while preserving quality. Target a quality level or an exact KB size.
Shrink image file size for faster uploads and smaller emails
Photos from a phone camera are often several megabytes each, fine for storage but slow to attach or load on a weak connection. A listing site or email provider may cap how large a file can be, and a full-resolution photo blows past that limit before you notice.
You can upload several images at once, and the tool re-encodes each one to make it smaller while keeping it looking close to the original. There are two ways to control the result: set a quality level from 1 to 100, where the default of 82 balances a small file with a picture that still looks sharp, or enter a target size in kilobytes so the tool searches for a quality setting that lands near it. The target size option works on JPG and WEBP files; PNG accepts a quality level too, while GIF passes through with little change either way. The compression happens on the site's servers over a secure connection, with your uploads removed within 60 minutes.
A lower quality number or a tighter KB target means more visible softening in busy or detailed photos, so check the result before using it where the image needs to look crisp. If you need to change the image's dimensions rather than its file size, that is a job for a resize tool instead.
