Writing documentation, drafting a README, or putting together notes in Markdown usually means switching between a plain text file and whatever will finally render it. The Markdown Editor and Preview keeps both in one window: type or paste Markdown on one side and watch a rendered preview update, with tables, images, and task lists showing exactly as a reader will see them.

You can start from scratch, paste in existing text, or open a .md file you already have, and the writing and preview happen entirely in your browser, which matters if the document is a draft you are not ready to share. Saving as a .md file also stays local. Exporting to PDF, Word, or a standalone HTML page sends the text to our servers for that one conversion, and it is deleted again within 60 minutes.
